Latest Updates from Our Project:

A question + LOOKY LOOKY
almost 4 years ago – Tue, Apr 27, 2021 at 03:41:42 AM

Hi all

We are getting tantalizing close to our next stretch goal and over the weekend we smashed past our last campaign's backer count- Thank you all so much! Our hope is to reach 200 backers by the campaign's end in 9 days. For that, we need another 61 backers. Will we make it? Gulp!

Anyhow onto the reason for this update... We have a question for you all?

We'll be exhibiting at this year's Thought Bubble which will be our first comic convention and we've been racking our brains for our tables U.S.P (unique selling point).

We've hatched upon an idea but we want some feedback first...

Our plan is to have a life-sized spaceship at our table and we'll advertise as such in the convention program.

You heard us - a life-sized spaceship!

Now... the 'Raft' featured in Issue One is a 6-inch canister attached to a solar sail which is 40 inches wide so as spacecraft go it is on the smaller size :0

So the question is would this be:

A.) A hilarious conversation starter when you see the spaceship is tiny, leading to a chinwag about the comic?

B.)  A massive letdown when you see the spaceship is tiny ):| leading to you storming off and slagging the table off to ya pals!?

Answer in the comments!

And now for the latest 'LOOKY  LOOKY'

INFERNO GIRL RED

What happens when you jam American, Japanese and British culture together into one comic- Inferno Girl Red is what happens! Gorgeous Art and a timeless story- It's an absolute banger and a Kickstarter Hit!

CHECK IT OUT HERE

"INFERNO GIRL RED is an all-new original graphic novel that combines the high school super-heroic drama of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, the dynamic storytelling and world-building of Japanese tokusatsu superheroes, and the intrigue and relationship drama of boarding school fiction-- to tell a story about hope in the face of darkness, and action in the face of apathy!"

Monster Matador

If I was gonna make a list of things I hate- flies & matadors might make the top 10. Imagine my surprise when another Kickstarter contacted us about a cross-promo featuring both of those things... and it is absolutely fantastic! Monster Matador is peerless apocalyptic lunacy! We love it!

"Monster Matador is a delightfully demented Kaiju throw-down that follows Matador Ramon Alejandro Estévez Guerrero as he travels a post-apocalyptic future to fight monsters and make a better world for his daughter."

CHARACTER ART REVEAL!
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Apr 25, 2021 at 12:47:18 AM

Hi all

Can you tell we are overcompensating for the mid-campaign lull with daily updates? No? Good!

Below is A Morris's brilliant, full colour character art design for Lilith and Joseph beyond Issue Two.

This is now at the top of our KS page because we felt that one of the things of our campaign possibly lacked was clarity, in that the idea of Directed Panspermia is a pretty novel (even scary) concept, so some people might not really understand from the campaign where the story fitted within the sci-fi genre.  And then we had an epiphany- just put them in spacesuits!

Haha, not really- These are 'Syn suits' and each padded compartment in their outfit is filled with different bacteria to aid the Arks on their mission. Bioluminescence bacteria in the shoulders to provide light.  Bacteria in their cuffs change their colour in response to toxins in the air. Bacteria that secrete medical unguents when they detect an infection.

Basically very cool and, hopefully, we'll do a full science reveal in a future stretch goal.

Happy Friday

A Morris is a genius + LOOKY LOOKY
almost 4 years ago – Fri, Apr 23, 2021 at 01:49:40 PM

Hi all

One of the great joys of adapting a screenplay into a comic book is that in the script it mentions that Joe and Lilith are naked twice, and in simple comic terms that equates to nearly 100 pages of pure nudity :0

Anyway in Issue Three Lilith and Joe don their comic book garb and the great A Morris has done such a brilliant job of the character design that we've decided to release it to the campaign tomorrow!  Feast your eyes on the stunning linework below

And here is our latest LOOKY LOOKY

 Boston Metaphysical Society

This comic is absolutely beautiful and it is in its final week on Kickstarter.  We are suckers for anything steampunk so as soon as we discovered this gem we pledged immediately. You should too!

THE STORY

When Erin, Caitlin’s mother, discovers her daughter can control a demon, she is outraged. In her mind, only a Great House has the right to such power, but who will listen to a poor Irish woman? House Lowell will. For Alice Lowell has inherited an old Puritan journal which describes how to find and enslave a demon, but she needs a psychic to do it. Kidnapping Caitlin is the first step in a plan to rid her husband’s House of debt. But with a demon to do their bidding, her ambitions will be limitless.

6 backers away + LOOKY LOOKY!
almost 4 years ago – Tue, Apr 20, 2021 at 11:41:55 AM

Happy Tuesday everyone!

As I'm writing this we are just 6 backers away from the 126 backers we reached for our Issue One campaign and we still have 16 days to go.  Make ours a large glass of Wow :)

Below is our new LOOKY LOOKY segment where we showcase another awesome campaign currently running on Kickstarter!

Our first feature is THE JUMP. Great premise, wicked art, and it's in its last 60 hours!

THE JUMP is a kick-you-in-the teeth paranoid thriller set in the world of astral projection. Its INCEPTION meets THE BOURNE IDENTITY if it were dripping with macabre and directed by David Fincher.

It’s brought you by the same twisted team that produced Action Lab: Danger Zone's much-lauded superhero noir BANJAX. It made over a dozen critics ten best lists in 2019 and was nominated for FOUR Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards including BEST SERIES (alongside BITTER ROOT and SOMETHING’S KILLING THE CHILDREN).

Writer Rylend Grant Rylend has worked for 15+ years in Hollywood, developing film and television projects - mostly big, poppy action movies - with folks like JJ Abrams, Ridley Scott, John Woo, Luc Besson, and Justin Lin.

STRETCH GOAL No1 UNLOCKED!
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Apr 18, 2021 at 04:21:42 AM

Hi all

Our first stretch goal reached at the end of our first full week! THANKYOU!

Below is the first page of the Special Edition's art appendix featuring: Mnemosyne (me-mos-an-nee): The cell that can become anything.  I could literally write another comic just about this little cell (Hmmm?)

The tech featured all exists now, just at different stages. If you consider yourself a dweeb and want to do the deep dive on Xenobots I highly recommend it :)

Happy Sunday :)
