... the Arks Issue Three Special Edition front cover!

The brief was to create an evil-looking Drew Struzan front cover. How do you think we did? 

An 18th Century pagan art binge, fueled with Italian lager led to this stunning bit of design by R Collins.

Then A Morris and J Daly absolutely nailed the art! To complete this cover we had to re-design and re-rigg our 3D characters. J Daly also built the A.I featured in the next episode (the T.A.I.L) and made it fully articulate so its head and body can do all manner of things! Then A Morris combined it all together to create a truly stunning cover! 

It teases the comics' past and future and will give readers a taste of the incredible mind-bending story ahead.

You guys are incredible and you have given us the confidence to make some big decisions about the next campaign which is now a little over a month away (24th Feb @8pm GMT). The marketing and promotions push has already begun and the Facebook and Instagram ads are flying!  Speaking of promos we did a little Q&A with the lovely lads over at Comic Book News UK! Could you give us some advice dear backer?

Running these Kickstarters over the past two years has been an incredible experience but like any new comic we are trapped in a Catch 22.

We put a lot into these comics so they are expensive to produce but we also want to run bigger campaigns. To get a bigger audience the comics need to be cheaper but the money we currently raise from KS does not cover the costs of production.

So how do we continue to make Arks content, without reducing the price massively and spending a small fortune on Facebook and Twitter Ads?

The idea we have tentatively hit on is making the digital version of Issue One free at any pledge level in the next campaign. Seems like a simple solution- the Issue One Comic is complete and it'll be a great way to introduce people to the comic with minimal cost. 

But many of you dear people have already paid for the digital copy of Issue One and might understandably be a bit annoyed that new backers are getting it for free.

Our solution would be that if any of you are disgruntled with this idea, when you pledge for Issue Three we'll upgrade you from a standard to a special edition in the next campaign for free. You'd just need to drop us a note at the Backerkit checkout that you are outraged that a tiny husband and wife publishing team are finding innovative ways to increase their readership ;)

Seriously though, we'd be happy to do it! If you have any thoughts please DM us.

Hey guys, 

So Arks Issue Three prelaunch page is now live! If you have a few seconds please click here and hit the - 'notify me on launch' - button.

It means you'll get a little nudge next year when we officially launch (in Feb 2022), plus it will help us enormously when we go live to have as many followers as possible.

When we started this process 17 months ago we said to ourselves if we can just get to Issue 3, this comic will blow people's minds. If we were idiots we'd say, "this comic will reset the paradigm and create a new sub-genre of science fiction so huge George Lucas would do a poo". 

But we're not, so we didn't ;-)

SHIPPED and Caduceus Cover REVEAL

HAPPY SUNDAY GUYS!

All physical and digital rewards are now officially SHIPPED for the Arks Issue Two campaign! Woo Woo!

Everyone in the UK / EU should have already received/be receiving their comics early next week with the US and the rest of the world later in the week / early the following. 

All digital rewards are available to download now through Backerkit. You should have already received an email with the link already, if not check ya junk (or drop us a dm).

First Comic Con

And as if that wasn't enough we are now prepping for our first comic con- Thought Bubble in Harrogate North Yorkshire UK next weekend 13th-14th November! Which has come around quick. If you're on the fence about coming, don't be, we'll be there with our life-size spaceship and a heap of comics so do stop by to say hi - plus there's going to be loads of other brilliant creators there too.

We can now officially reveal A. Morris's beautiful front cover for Arks Issue Three  - which we'll be launching in Feb next year on Kickstarter. 

The Arks Issue Three prelaunch page will be coming soon, so we'll share that once it's all approved. Our aim is to try and double the number of backers this time and you can help us enormously by simply clicking on the notify me button - so that we can fly out of the blocks when it goes live in Feb next year! As well as telling anyone else you think might be into it :-)
